Deraeocoris (Camptobrochis) punctulatus extensa Stichel, 1930

Distribution in Iran. Alborz ( Farahbakhsh 1961), East Azarbaijan ( Khaghaninia et al. 2013), Khorasan, Semnan ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997c), Tehran (Hoberlandt 1954; Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997c). Comments. This nominal taxon was omitted in Kerzhner & Josifov (1999) catalog. In application of the Article 45.6 of the Code (International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature 1999), Stichel variety should be treated as taxon of subspecific rank. However, this is relatively formal and keeps the status of the other Iranian var. of Deraeocoris (C.) punctulatus unclear. Observed on lucerne, cotton and cucumber ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997c).
