Leucophenga hyaloptera Huang & Chen View in CoL , sp. nov.
( Figs. 4A View FIGURE 4 , 8A–C View FIGURE 8 , 11D, 11E View FIGURE 11 , 16A, 16B View FIGURE 16 , 32 View FIGURE 32 )
Diagnosis. This species is most similar to L. forcipula sp. nov. in having the pleura with a brown, longitudinal stripe above ( Figs. 7F View FIGURE 7 , 8C View FIGURE 8 ), the wing entirely hyaline ( Figs. 3E View FIGURE 3 , 4A View FIGURE 4 ), the colour patterns of abdominal tergites in females ( Figs. 10H View FIGURE 10 , 11E View FIGURE 11 ), and the shape and pubescence of epandrium, cercus, and surstylus ( Figs. 28A View FIGURE 28 , 32A View FIGURE 32 ), but can be distinguished from the latter in having the postocellar distinct ( Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ); aedeagus straight, ventrolaterally with a long, apicodorsally acute process ( Fig. 32D View FIGURE 32 ).
Description. Ocellar triangle brownish yellow, with ca. 1 or 2 seta(e) above ocellar setae. Frons brownish yellow ( Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ). Pedicel brownish yellow; first flagellomere yellow ( Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ). Clypeus entirely brownish yellow. Palpus dark yellow ( Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ). Mesonotum mostly brownish yellow ( Fig. 8B View FIGURE 8 ). Postpronotal lobe yellow ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 12–14 irregular rows ( Fig. 8B View FIGURE 8 ). Scutellum mostly brownish yellow, dark yellow at tip ( Fig. 8B View FIGURE 8 ). Katepisternum mostly dark yellow ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ). Mesopleuron yellow, brownish posteriorly ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ). Wing ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ): Costal vein between R 2+3 and R 4+5 distally with ca. 4–6 peg-like spinules on ventral surface; R 4+5 and M 1 nearly parallel distally; halter mostly yellowish, with a brown patch at knob ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ). Abdominal tergites dark brown, 2nd tergite yellow medially and laterally, 3rd tergite mostly yellowish except for lateral region, only setigerous laterally in males ( Fig. 11D View FIGURE 11 ), 3rd tergite yellow submedially and sublaterally in females ( Fig. 11E View FIGURE 11 ), 4th and 5th tergites with yellow patches submedially and sublaterally. Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 7 setae near posterior margin and ventral corner per side ( Fig. 32A View FIGURE 32 ). Hypandrium with 1 sensillum ( Fig. 32B View FIGURE 32 ). Paramere expanded basally and rounded apically, with ca. 3 sensilla medially and ca. 5 ones distally ( Fig. 32C View FIGURE 32 ). Aedeagus rectangular apically ( Fig. 32D View FIGURE 32 ).
