Diagnosis. This species strongly resembles L. varinervis in the colour patterns of abdominal tergites in both male ( Fig. 9G, I) and female ( Fig. 9H, J), and the shape of paramere ( Figs. 21C, 22C), but can be distinguished from the latter in having the postocellar distinct ( Fig. 5M); aedeagus apically hook-shaped, laterally mostly covered by its long process ( Fig. 21D); see below for that species.

Description. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with ca. 2 or 3 setae above ocellar setae. Frons brownish ( Fig. 5M). Pedicel brownish yellow; first flagellomere yellow ( Fig. 5M). Clypeus entirely brown. Palpus brownish yellow ( Fig. 5M). Mesonotum brownish yellow, usually brownish to brown in front of scutellum ( Fig. 5N). Postpronotal lobe yellow ( Fig. 5O). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 12–14 irregular rows ( Fig. 5N). Scutellum brownish yellow to dark brown, black laterally, yellow at tip ( Fig. 5N). Pleura with a brown to dark brown, longitudinal stripe above ( Fig. 5O). Katepisternum and mesopleuron mostly yellow ( Fig. 5O). Wing ( Fig. 2E): nearly hyaline; costal vein between R 2+3 and R 4+5 distally with ca. 4–6 peg-like spinules on ventral surface; R 4+5 and M 1 slightly divergent distally; halter mostly yellowish, with a brownish patch at knob ( Fig. 5N). Abdominal tergites dark brown, 2nd tergite yellow to brownish medially and laterally, 3rd tergite mostly yellow except for lateral region, setigerous laterally and on posterior margin in males ( Fig. 9G), 3rd tergite yellow anteriorly in females ( Fig. 9H), 4th tergite yellow anteriorly. Male terminalia: Epandrium lacking pubescence, with ca. 7 setae near posterior and ventral margins per side ( Fig. 21A). Cercus lacking pubescence ( Fig. 21A). Surstylus pubescent ( Fig. 21A). Hypandrium with 1 sensillum ( Fig. 21B). Paramere narrow basally, pubescent medially, with ca. 5 sensilla distally ( Fig. 21C).
