Acronicta digna View in CoL species-complex
The species-complex belongs to the subgenus Viminia Chapman. Its members are medium-sized moths with wing pattern resembling that of members of the A. (Viminia) lutea Bremer & Grey species-group and some other Viminia species (e.g., Acronicta raphael Oberthür ), but male genitalia are similar to those of the A. rumicis (Linnaeus) species-complex, and differ from the latter by a bilobate subbasal diverticulum and presence of only few cornuti in vesica (whereas in the A. rumicis species-complex the subbasal diverticulum is simple, and vesica with a large cluster of spine-like cornuti). The species-complex includes two species, A. digna and A. metaxantha , stat. rev., bona sp.
