Remarks. Plutonodomus is the only known African Prodidominae genus that shows adaptations to a subterranean environment. Plutonodomus kungwensis Cooke, 1964 was collected in a termite nest ( Microtermes sp.) at the edge of a gallery forest ( Cooke 1964). It is known solely from the female holotype and no additional material belonging to this species was examined in this study.

Composition. Monotypic: P. kungwensis Cooke, 1964 .
Distribution. Kungwe-Mahali Mts., Tanzania ( Fig. 36 View FIGURE 36 ).
