13.1. Tynanthus micranthus Correia de Mello ex Schumann View in CoL in Engler (1894: 221) ( Figs. 10 f–h View FIGURE 10 , 11 b View FIGURE 11 ).
Diagnosis:— Tynanthus micranthus can be recognized by the smell of clove on vegetative portions and the small and bilabiate white corolla.
Reproductive Period:— Flowers were collected from September to December, fruiting in June, October, November and December.
Distribution and Habitat:— It occurs in Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina ( Lohmann 2010, Lohmann & Taylor 2014, Medeiros & Lohmann 2015). Within the study area, it was registered in Céu Azul, Matelândia/Serranópolis do Iguaçu, Capanema, Foz do Iguaçu, and in the PARNA Iguazú , being a new record for Argentina.
