Distribution. Odisha: Kendrapara District—Dangmal, Habalikhati; Tamil Nadu: Chidambaram District— Pitchavaram; Thiruvarur District—Muthupettai. Mangrove.

Habitat dependence. Specific/semi-specific—Adults and larvae. The immature stages of this species were collected mostly from crabholes and also found in swamp pools in mangroves and holes at the bases of trees.
