Distribution. Kerala: Wayanad District—Periya. Tamil Nadu: Nilgiris District—Nilgiri Hills. Non-mangrove.
Habitat dependence. Specific/semi-specific—Adults and larvae. Immature stages of this species were collected from crabholes near spring pools, rice fields and banana groves in shade in rainforests. This and the next two species of Paraedes collected in India were found primarily in crabholes in banana groves in heavily shaded areas of rainforests.
