Distribution. Kerala: Wayanad District—Thonichal. Non-mangrove. Habitat dependence.Accidental—Adults only. The immature stages of all species in the genus Mansonia inhabit ponds and canals with floating aquatic plants. This species is vector of the nematodes that cause Brugian filariasis. Reference.
