Distribution. Odisha: Keonjhar District—Mamalapusi, Mayurbhanj District—Simlipal. Non-mangrove.
Habitat dependence. Transient—Larvae only. Immatures widely occur in ground-level habitats, cement tanks, ground pools with algae, irrigation canals, ponds, rice fields, slow-running streams, etc. Important rural malaria vector in India.
