Anthidium amurensis Radoszkowski, 1876: 90 View in CoL , ♂; Dalla Torre, 1896: 456 ( Anthidium amurense Radoszkowski, 1876 View in CoL ); Wu,
1985: 140 ( Anthidium amurense Rad. View in CoL ); Wu, 1993: 1396 ( Anthidium amurense Radoszkowski, 1876 View in CoL ). Anthidium comatum Morawitz, 1896: 164 View in CoL , ♀, ♂; Proshchalykin, 2007: 6; synonymized by Proshchalykin (2013: 151). Anthidium (Anthidium) amurense Radoszkowski, 1876 View in CoL : Wu, 2006: 144, ♀ (key), 145, ♂ (key), 146, ♀, ♂ (redescription), Fig.
71; Proshchalykin, 2013: 150 (key), Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 , 151 [ Anthidium (Anthidium) amurensis Radoszkowski, 1876 ].
Diagnosis: This species is very similar to Anthidium (A.) montanum ( Morawitz, 1865) , but it can be distinguished from A. (A.) montanum by the following combination of characters: female, apical margin of clypeus coarsely and sharply serrate, strongly rounded outward downward medially ( Fig. 1d View FIGURE 1 ), punctures on supraclypeal area dense ( Fig. 1b View FIGURE 1 ), T5–T6 covered with pale white pubescence ( Fig. 1h View FIGURE 1 ); male, median lobe of S6 large, broad, and sub-rectangular ( Fig. 2e View FIGURE 2 ), apical process of S8 broadly triangular ( Fig. 2h View FIGURE 2 ).
Material examined: China, Hebei: Xiaowitai Shan (39º54′N, 115º00′E), 1200 m, 3 ♀, 2 ♂, 10.VIII. 1964, 1450m, 2 ♀, 28. VI GoogleMaps .1964, leg. Yin-Heng HAN, 1400 m, 1 ♀, 1 ♂, 14.VII.1964, 1 ♂, 28. VI .1964, leg. Bing-Qian LI, 4 ♂, 12.VIII.1964, leg. Jin-Long MAO , 1200–1400 m, 1 ♂, 22.VIII.1964, 1 ♂, 23.VIII.1964, leg. Chun-Guang WANG ; China, Inner Mongolia: Daqing Shan (41º50′N, 116º47′E), 1716 m, 3 ♂ (on flower of Medicago sativa ), 14.VIII.2018, leg. Qiang-Tao WU GoogleMaps and Jing-Ting CHEN .
Type localities: Russia: Primorsky Territory: Ussuri (River) ( amurense ), Russia: Krasnoyarsk (as Krasnojarsk) ( comatum ).
Distribution: Eastern Palaearctic. China (Hebei, Inner Mongolia *); Russia (Eastern Siberia, Far East).
Floral association: Medicago sativa (Fabaceae) .
Remarks: Wu (2006) misidentified the specimens from “ China, Xinjiang: Zhaosu Xian, Alasan (42º31′N, 80º48′E), 2400 m, 1 ♀, 23.VII.1978, leg. Yin-Heng HANG, 1 ♂, 22.VII.1978, leg. Xue-Zhong ZHANG” as this species and recorded the species occurring in Xinjiang, but study of these specimens finds they are Anthidium (Anthidium) montanum ( Morawitz, 1865) . At present, the species is only confirmed from China from Hebei and Inner Mongolia, not from Xinjiang in western China.
