Aysenia cylindrica Ramírez, 2003: 64 View in CoL (male holotype from Chile, Región XIV de Los Ríos, Valdivia province: Rincón de Piedra, S of Valdivia, 23-26.II.1979, L. E. Peña, deposited in AMNH, examined; temporary preparations MGM-00003, MGM-00004. Female paratype from Valdivia, 1983, deposited in MHNS, not reexamined).
Diagnosis: Resembles A. araucana in body shape and genitalia; females can by distinguished by the relatively short, not coiled copulatory ducts; males by the copulatory bulb with heavily sclerotized PMA with shallow edges, and short embolus ( Figs 6 View FIGURE 6 b–c).
Description: Male and female described by Ramírez (2003).
Distribution: Known only from a few localities from Río Negro province in Argentina, and Valdivia province in Chile.
