Habitat (inferred). Burrowing in silty sand, sublittoral.
Distribution. Valves are not uncommon throughout the lagoon.
Remarks. This species is not in literature records from the Mascarenes but may be the same as that identified as L. psittacus (Hanley, 1879) from South Africa ( Barnard, 1964) and Mauritius ( Viader, 1937).
Range. Western Indian Ocean , Arabian Sea, Red Sea [M/S].
