Bioramix (Cardiobioramix) longicornis sp. nov.
( Figs 3 View FIGURES 3–4 , 43–44 View FIGURES 25–48 , 210 View FIGURES 208–213 )
Description. Body black, shining, antennae, palpi and tarsi brown, elytral surface with weakly metallic sheen.
Male ( Figs 3 View FIGURES 3–4 , 43–44 View FIGURES 25–48 , 210 View FIGURES 208–213 ). Head. Anterior margin of epistome weakly protruding forward, surface with dense and coarse punctures. Frons flattened, genae weakly convex, surface with dense and coarse punctures. Dorsal surface of head with dense and coarse punctures. Eyes transverse, anterior margin shallowly emarginate. Antennae ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3–4 : A) reaching beyond pronotal base, antennomeres II–VIII long cylindrical and thicker at apex, XI sharpedoval. Length (width) ratio of antennomeres II–XI 30 (22): 72 (23): 41 (24): 40 (22): 46 (23): 45 (23): 45 (25): 39 (26): 36 (27): 48 (26).
Prothorax. Pronotum ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3–4 : B) transverse and convex, 1.5 times as wide as long, 1.9 times as wide as head. Lateral sides widest at middle, arcuately narrowing toward base and apex, sometimes weakly emarginate anterior to base. Ratio of width at anterior margin to widest part and base 28: 43: 42. Anterior margin deeply emarginate, posterior one weakly protruding backward at middle. Anterior angles rectangular, sharped apically, posterior ones weakly obtuse. Anterior and posterior margins edged laterally, entire lateral margins edged. Dorsal surface with sparse and coarse punctures on disc, dense at sides. Lateral sides with pair of round depressions near disc. Prothoracic hypomera with longitudinal wrinkles and sparse yellow setae. Prosternum anterior to procoxae with yellow setae, apex of prosternal process short obtused projecting beyond level of procoxae in lateral view.
Pterothorax. Elytra elongate-oval and strongly convex, 1.3 times as long as wide and 1.2 times as wide as pronotum, base slightly wider than pronotum and widest at middle. Surface with sparse and fine punctures, coarse wrinkles. Lateral margins of elytra merging with outer margins of epipleura anterior to apex of elytra and reaching sutural angle, visible at base in dorsal view.
Abdomen with sparse yellow setae, ventrites 1–2 flattened at middle.
Legs. Profemora stout, with sparse punctures and yellow setae. Protibiae ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3–4 : D) gradually widened toward apex and curved to inner side, underside not concave at apex, inner side with dense yellow hairbrush from middle to apex. Protarsi ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3–4 : C) as wide as apex of protibiae. Meso- and metafemora longer than profemora. Mesotibiae ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3–4 : E) gradually widened toward apex, with yellow setae and rufous thick setae. Mesotarsi ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3–4 : F) narrower than apex of mesotibiae. Metatibiae ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3–4 : G) nearly straight, with yellow setae and rufous thick setae. Length (width) ratio of pro-, meso- and metafemora 29 (10): 31 (7): 39 (8), that of corresponding tibiae 24 (6): 26 (6): 36 (6), and protarsi 31 (37): 52 (63): 40 (60): 25 (41): 64 (21), mesotarsi 32 (36): 48 (52): 41 (44): 28 (33): 72 (23), metatarsi ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3–4 : H) 127 (24): 59 (25): 49 (24): 74 (23).
Aedeagus ( Figs 3 View FIGURES 3–4 : I–J, 43–44) 2.7 mm long and 0.8 mm wide. Parameres 0.9 mm long and 0.4 mm wide, widest at base and narrowing toward apex, slightly sharped apically, distal part weakly curved ventrally in lateral view.
Measurements. Body length: ♂ 10.4–10.5 mm and width: ♂ 5.0– 5.2 mm. Type material. Holotype: ♂ (MHBU), CHINA: Sichuan: Le’an Township, Xinlong County, 31°12.649′ N, 100°17.969′ E, 4015 m, 14.VIII.2016, Xiu-Min Li, Xing-Long Bai, Run-Yang Zhang & Xian-Lei Shao leg. Paratypes: 3♂♂ (MHBU), same data as holotype.
Distribution. China: Sichuan.
Diagnosis. This new species is similar to Bioramix (Cardiobioramix) korschefskyi ( Kaszab, 1940) , but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters (based on male): (1) antennae reaching beyond pronotal base (reaching, not beyond in B. korschefskyi ); (2) elytra longer, surface without traces of rows of punctures and longitudinal carinae (shorter, with indistinct rows of punctures and distinct traces of longitudinal carinae in B. korschefskyi ); (3) apex of prosternal process short obtused projecting beyond level of procoxae in lateral view (not projecting in B. korschefskyi ); (4) lateral sides of parameres not emarginate posterior to apex, distal part slightly curved ventrally in lateral view (emarginate, straight in B. korschefskyi ).
Etymology. This species name is derived from its long antennae.
