Shrub 1.2 m. Young branchlets, leaf main nerve and inflorescence puberulous with pinoid hairs. Leaf blades lanceate, glabrous above, tomentose with stellulate hairs below, 1-nerved. Flowers 4-merous.
Distribution in Peru:—Paramo, between 3280 and 3555 m.
