Acrotritia proxima Niedbała View in CoL sp. nov.
( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 A – D )
Measurements of holotype. Prodorsum: length 268, width 192, height 101, sensillum 45, interlamellar setae 134, lamellar setae 88, rostral setae 71, exobothridial setae 10. Notogaster: length 540, width 328, height 338, c 1 66, p 1 76. Anogenital region: genitoaggenital plate 202×50, anoadanal plate 232×28.
Integument. Colour yellow. Body surface densely dotted.
Prodorsum with a pair of long lateral carinae. Sensilla long, bacilliform, with fusiform, dilated head covered sparsely with spines. Setae erect (except small exobothridial), rough, interlamellar setae longer than lamellar and rostral setae. Mutual distance between lamellar setae slightly longer than that between rostral setae.
Notogaster with rather short setae (c 1/ c 1– d 1 = 05), covered with small spines in distal half, dorsal setae rather longer than other setae. Setae c 1 and c 2 remote from anterior border, setae c 3 near border.
Ventral region. Mentum of subcapitulum with setae h considerably longer than distance between them. Nine pairs of genital setae present, one pair in progenital position. Two pairs of aggenital setae present, situated perpendicularly. Three pairs of anal and three pairs of adanal setae present. Anal setae an 1 and an 2 shorter than adanal setae.
Legs. Tarsi of legs I bi- and legs II–IV triheterodactylous. Chaetome of legs (without tarsi): I 1–3 –3(2)–4(1), II 1–3 –3(1)–4(1), III 2–2 –2(1)–3(1), IV 2–1 –2–2(1).
Material examined. Holotype: L-5
Comparison. The new species is very similar to Acrotritia spiculifera (Mahunka, 1991) but is distinguishable by the presence of tarsi of legs I bi- and legs II-IV triheterodactylous (versus monodactylous) and presence of one pair of genital setae in progenital position (versus 3 pairs of setae). Second similar species Acrotritia paraspiculifera Niedbała, 2012 has two pairs genital setae in progenital position, variable number of claws of tarsi and distance between lamellar setae is distinctly greater than distance between rostral setae.
Etymology. The prefix proximus is Latin meaning “the nearest” and refers the similarity between the new species and the species Acrotritia spiculifera and Acrotritia paraspiculifera .
