ETYMOLOGY: The specific name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.
DIAGNOSIS: This appears to be the northern sister species of D. bellenden , sharing with it a distinctive shape of the retrolateral tibial apophysis (figs. 244, 248); males can be distinguished by their shorter embolus (figs. 247, 248), females by the very short epigynal atrium (fig. 249).
MALE: Total length 5.6. Coloration as in D. malbon . Leg spination: tibiae: III v202; IV v21p2, r011; metatarsi: III v202; IV v21p2, r010. Retrolateral tibial apophysis almost arrowshaped, with short ventral and long distal tips, paracymbial apophysis rela tively short (fig. 248); distal palpal sclerites wrapped around each other, with tip directed slightly to ventral side (fig. 247).
FEMALE: Total length 6.6. Coloration as in male. Leg spination: tibiae: III v21p2; IV v21p2, r011; metatarsi: III v202; IV v2 22, r010. Epigynal atrium very short, reduced to transverse band (fig. 249); median ducts anteriorly recurved (fig. 250).
