TYPES: Female holotype and male allotype captured while mating at Natural Plateau, near Morton National Park, inland from Nowra , 34 ° 38 ̍ S, 150 ° 33 ̍ E, New South Wales (July 27, 1975; G. Coombe), deposited in SAM (N1999/47, 48) .
ETYMOLOGY: The specific name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.
DIAGNOSIS: Males can be recognized by the prominent basal ledge on the retrolateral tibial apophysis (figs. 612, 647), females by the very wide posterior portion of the epigynal ducts (fig. 614).
MALE: Total length 13. Coloration as in R. lugubris . Leg spination: femora I–III p110, r010; IV p110; tibiae: I v1p1p0; II v1p 1p1p; III v1p22; IV v222, r011; metatarsi: III v200; IV p001, v1r02, r100. Retrolateral tibial apophysis with distinct, transverse ledge (figs. 612, 647); cymbium without prolateral thickened setae, with re tromarginal expansion, conductor with hooked tip (fig. 611).
FEMALE: Total length 21. Coloration as in male. Leg spination: femora: I, II, IV p11 0; III p110, r010; tibiae: III v1p22; IV v222; metatarsi: III p001, v202; IV p0 01, v201p, r100. Epigynum deeply depressed anteriorly, with vshaped ridge at about half its length (fig. 613); posterior portion of epigynal ducts relatively wide (fig. 614).
