Type: ― MEXICO. Sinaloa, on cliffs along the sea near the signal station at Mazatlán , 31 March 1910, Rose et al. 13752 (holotype:― US barcode 00103081 [image!] image available at http://n 2t.net/ark:/65665/3afcce6aa-7644-44d6-bc39-a32837d66892) .

Distribution in Mexico: ―Endemic to the country, in Sinaloa and Sonora states ( Hernández-Ledesma 2021). In Sonora it is distributed in Pacific Lowlands and Sonoran biogeographic provinces ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ), and has been collected in Alamos, Empalme and Guaymas municipalities, in tropical deciduous forest and subtropical scrub, at 20–800 m a.s.l.
