Miltochrista gilva Daniel, 1951 , Bonner zoologische Beiträge 2 (3-4): 316, Pl. 1, fig. 20, text fig. 17 (Type locality: “[SW China, North Yunnan] Likiang ”).

Type material examined. Holotype: male ( Figs 5 View FIGURES 1 – 8 , 11 View FIGURES 9 – 11 ), lead-grey label " Batang (Tibet), Talsohle ca . 2800 m, 28.VIII.1937, H. Höne [leg.]" / pink label "Typus" / pink label "Holotypus Miltochrista gilva Daniel 1947 , Zool. Staatssammlung München", slide AV 1856m Volynkin (Coll. ZFMK). Paratypes: 14 males, 8 females, same locality and collector as in holotype, but 29.VII., 1.VIII., 6.VIII., 7.VIII., 8.VIII., 11.VIII., 12.VIII., 22.VIII., 25.VIII., 26.VIII., 28.VIII., 29.VIII., 1.IX. and 9.X.1936, slide AV1857f Volynkin ; 2 males, Li-kiang, ca. 2000 m, Prov. Nord-Yuennan, 6.VI. and 2.VI.1934, H. Höne [leg.]; 18 males, 12 females, Li-kiang, ca. 3000 m, Prov. Nord- Yuennan, H. Höne [leg.], 23.V., 25.V., 1.VI., 11.VI., 21.VI., 30.VII., 5.VIII., 15.VIII., 22.VIII., 23.VIII., 26.VIII., 25.VIII., 2.IX., 3.IX., 5.IX., 8.IX., 13.IX.1935 (all paratypes are deposited in coll. ZFMK).

Other material examined: 1 male, British Bootan, Padong, L. Durel [leg.], 1914 (Coll. ZFMK).

Taxonomic notes. The species has male and female genitalia typical for the genus Lyclene and not Miltochrista .

Redescription. Adult ( Figs 5, 6 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Wingspan 23-24 mm. Male antennae ciliate, female antennae filiform. Body slender; head and thorax ochreous-yellow; abdomen ochreous. Forewing broad, with blunt apex. Ground colour of forewing ochreous-yellow, pattern consists of black spot subbasally, two black spots antemedially, curved row of black spots postmedialy, large black spot at the distal part of cell, and curved row of black spots of different size subterminally. Cilia ochreous-yellow. Hindwing paller than forewing, ochreous-yellow. Male genitalia ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 9 – 11 ). Uncus long, narrow, curved, apically pointed; tuba analis broad, membranous; scaphium narrow, weakly sclerotised; subscaphium moderately broad, as field of strong scobination; tegumen moderately long and narrow; manica broad, moderately sclerotised; juxta large, elongated, strongly sclerotised; sacculus short and round. Valvae long and narrow, slightly curved dorsally at distal part, with a cluter of setae and small stump-like ampulla medially; costa strongly sclerotised, strongly curved subbasally; apical costal extension trigonal, short, apically pointed; apical lobe of valva small, trigobal, apically rounded; sacculus strongly sclerotised, dorsally setose, its apical extension well isolated from apical lobe of valva, strongly sclerotised, apically narrowed, with additional small dorsal trigonal lobe; Aedeagus long and narrow, distally slightly broadened. Vesica curved dorsally, its subbasal part membranous; ventral subbasal diverticulum long, narrow, slightly curved, scobinate; dorsal subbasal diverticulum tubular, almost straight, apically rounded, membranous; two medio-distal diverticuli short, broad, scobinate; two dorso-subapical diverticuli: right one globular, with numerous small but strong cornuti; left one conical with one very lagre blade-like cornutus; basal plate of ductus ejaculatorius weakly sclerotised. Female genitalia ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 17 – 19 ). Papillae anales broad, rectangular with rounded edges; apophyses anteriores and posteriores narrow, moderately long, the former much longer than the latter; ostium bursae moderately broad; ductus bursae moderately long, dorso-ventrally flattened, sclerotized and scobinate; posterior part of corpus bursae ovoid, with clusters of numerous strong spinules; anterior part of corpus bursae ovoid, with numerous small spinules; appendix bursae small, broadly conical.
