Isotypus: USA. Texas, Round Rock, from bark culture, Oct 1964, UTMC 320, DWM 2302 [one box, K-M001435093], ( Fig. 2K View FIGURE 2 ).

Notes. Wollman & Alexopoulos (1968) stated that the holotype is UTMC 320, in the collection of Myxomycetes from the University of Texas, now transferred to BPI (BPI 822001) BPI also holds various isotypes (BPI 805916, BPI 821976, BPI 821983, BPI 821992 slides) and other type specimens from culture (BPI 821976, BPI 821979, BPI 821991, slide BPI 821986, slides BPI 821994) Isotypes were also distributed to the University of Iowa (also now in BPI 821993), and the private collections of Nannenga-Bremekamp, now kept in BR5020058219198 and BR5020057994850.

Notes. Mitchell was one of the authors but no material was found in his collection. According to Moreno et al. (2007), the holotype “SLS 21683A”, is in UARK, with a duplicate (slide) in the herbarium AH.
