Forewing with distal wide dark transverse band; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much shorter than proximal part (3:10). Protarsomere 1 longer than 4 (7:4); protarsomere 4 approximately 0.5 × as long as basal part of 5. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 57B View FIGURE 57 ) with proximal prominence bearing one long bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 57B View FIGURE 57 ) with basal part much longer than apical part, with 22 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
♂. Unknown.
Material examined. Type: ♀ holotype: MADAGASCAR: Toamasina, Fanovana , VII.1933, Seyrig leg. ( MNHN) .
Hosts. Unknown.
Distribution. Madagascar.
Remarks. According to Ceballos (1936), the type locality is Fanovari. However, this locality apparently does not exist (see Viette 1991). The correct name is probably Fanovana.
