Gonatopus emelyanovi Ponomarenko & Olmi 2006: 7 .

Description. ♀. Apterous; body length 2.6–4.1 mm. Completely yellow-testaceous, except petiole black. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 7:5:12:7:5:5:4.5:4.5:4.5:6.5. Head excavated, shiny, with frons almost completely unsculptured (granulate only near clypeus) and occiput granulate; frontal line complete; occipital carina absent; temple distinct; POL = 1; OL = 1; OOL = 7; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli about as long as OL. Palpal formula 6/3. Pronotum shiny, unsculptured, crossed by strong transverse impression. Mesoscutum shiny, unsculptured, without lateral pointed apophyses. Mesoscutellum shiny, smooth, sloping anteriorly. Metanotum deeply excavated behind mesoscutellum ( Fig. 192E View FIGURE 192 ), flat, strongly transversely striate. Metapectal-propodeal disc shiny, unsculptured; propodeal declivity transversely striate. Metapectal-propodeal disc laterally rounded. Mesopleuron shiny, very slightly granulate. Metapleuron dull, very slightly transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 12:2:4.5:11:18. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 191C View FIGURE 191 ) with one large subdistal tooth and one row of 6–8 lamellae + one subdistal bristle. Protarsomere 5 of holotype ( Fig. 191C View FIGURE 191 ) with two rows of 2 + 8 lamellae; apex with one lamella. Protarsomere 5 of specimen from Mozambique, Cuamba, with two rows of 3 + 12 lamellae; apex with at least 12 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

♂. Unknown.

Material examined. Type: ♀ holotype: ETHIOPIA: Shewa (= Shoa) Province, 95 km W Addis Abeba, Ambò (= Hagere Hiywot), near Plant Protection Research Institute , 2400–2500 m, 31.V.1990, A. Emelyanov leg. ( ZISP) . Other material: MOZAMBIQUE: Niassa, Cuamba, Farm of the Catholic University of Mozambique , C. 11.III.2005, B. 12.3.2005, Sf. 2.IV.2005, M. Olmi reared from a nymph of an unidentified species of Dictyopharidae , 1♀ ( MOLC) .

Hosts. In Mozambique: unidentified species of Dictyopharidae .

Distribution. Ethiopia, Mozambique.

Ponomarenko, N. G. & Olmi, M. (2006) Dryinidae (Hym.) collected in Ethiopia by Dr Alexander F. Emelyanov, with descriptions of two new species. The Entomologist's Monthly Magazine, 142, 7 - 10.
