Description. ♀. Apterous; body length 5.1–5.6 mm. Head brown; antenna reddish; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs reddish, except coxae black and clubs of femora brown. Head excavated, shiny, granulate, bare; POL = 5; OL = 10; OOL = 25. Palpal formula 6/3. Pronotum crossed by strong transverse impression, granulate, bare. Mesoscutum bare, with two lateral pointed apophyses. Metanotum transversely striate. Metapectal-propodeal disc granulate, with or without longitudinal striae; propodeal declivity strongly transversely striate. Mesopleuron and metapleuron trans- versely striate. Meso-metapleural suture obsolete. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 17:4:7:30:42. Enlarged claw ( Figs 210A, B View FIGURE 210 ) with one small subapical tooth and eight small lamellae in addition to one bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 210A View FIGURE 210 ) with inner side proximally serrate and two rows of 1 (proximal) + 23–25 lamellae; apex with at least 6–10 lamellae. In specimen from Mozambique, Praia do Bilene, protarsomere 5 with two rows o 5 (proximal) + 13 lamellae ( Fig. 210B View FIGURE 210 ). Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

Material examined. Type: ♀ holotype: SOUTH AFRICA: Eastern Cape, Willowmore ( MCPM). Other mate- rial: GAMBIA: Bakau, 1♀ (AMNH). MOZAMBIQUE: Gaza Prov., Praia do Bilene airport, reared from Hecalus dubius Melichar, M. Olmi reared, 1♀ (AMNH). SOUTH AFRICA: Eastern Cape, Willowmore, 13 km from Ful- lerton, 3.X.1971, C. Jacot–Guillarmod leg., 1♀ (AMG); Eastern Cape, Grahamstown, Strowan, 4.XII.1966, A. Ja- cot–Guillarmod leg., 1♀ (AMG); Western Cape, Worcester, I.1929, R.E. Turner leg., 1♀ (NHMUK); Western Cape, Little Karoo, 38 mi E of Ceres, 17–25.XI.1924, R.E. Turner leg., 1♀ (NHMUK).
Hosts. Cicadellidae (Guglielmino et al. 2013): in Mozambique: Hecalus dubius Melichar.
