Type genus. Apoaphelopus Olmi 2007 , by original designation.

Diagnosis. ♀: unknown. ♂ ( Fig. 266A View FIGURE 266 ): fully winged; forewing without costal cell, with costal vein very thick; forewing with 2r-rs&Rs vein present ( Figs 266A, C View FIGURE 266 ); pterostigma absent ( Fig. 266D View FIGURE 266 ); other veins of forewing absent, the course of M and Cu veins being marked by dark stripes ( Figs 266A, B View FIGURE 266 ); hind wing ( Figs 266A, B View FIGURE 266 ) with or without costal vein, with two dark medial longitudinal stripes; mandible with one tooth; palpi absent; antenna short, shorter than body; antennomere 1 twice as long as 2; temple very long, shorter than eye ( Fig. 266A View FIGURE 266 ); epicnemium exposed; basivolsella with lateral distal process parallel to distivolsella and reaching at least the same level as apex of distivolsella ( Fig. 264C View FIGURE 264 ); tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Distribution. Afrotropical.

Hosts. Unknown.

World species. Four species are known, all in the Afrotropical region.

World genera. One genus is known, present only in the Afrotropical region.
