Comments. In general appearance and shape of the palpal structures, males of B. vignai are similar to those of B. ovchinnikovi sp. nov. and differ from them by a relatively shorter tip of the cymbium, which is as long as wide (vs. about 1.7 times longer than wide), and by having 4 strong macrosetae on the cymbial tip (vs. 7), as well as by possessing an antero-retrolaterally extended (vs. a horizontally stretched) conductor, with a longer (vs. shorter) distance between its dorsal and retrolateral parts, a wider (vs. narrower) embolus base, and a pointed (vs. broadly rounded) tip of the patellar apophysis ( Figs 16–23 View FIGURES 15–20 View FIGURES 21–23 , Dimitrov & Jäger 2021, figs 1, 2). The structure of the epigyne in B. vignai resembles that in B. coenobita (with the narrowly spaced teeth bases located behind the anterior margin of fovea, and short sac-shaped receptacles). It differs from the latter type by the epigynal teeth set on the common base (vs. narrowly separated from one another) ( Wang & Zhu 2009, figs 15, 16, 34, 35).
Distribution. The species was described from eastern Anatolia, Turkey. It has been recently found in northwestern Anatolia ( Dimitrov & Jäger 2021).
