Etymology: The prefix of the genus name is from the triangular shape of the carapace in lateral view. The suffix is derived from the genus Cypretta , thus indicating the similarity (and affinity) with this genus.
Diagnosis: Cp in lateral view with dorsal margin highly arched; inner list smooth, without the presence of inner tubercules at the posteroventral corner of the RV; A2 with G claws equally serrated; MdPalp with α and β-seta short and thin; CR slender and with S a seta absent; CR attachment composed by a single branch.
