Geography:—Bol’shoj Fontan (11 Station), near Odessa, Ukraine.
Stratigraphy:—Upper Miocene (Tortonian = Maeotian).
Fossil status:—Fruits.

Note:—The fossil-species is most likely compared with fossil Bolboschoenus kreczetoviczii (Wieliczkiewicz) Doweld , comb. nov.
