Appendages entire, rarely laciniate in upper part; spine of median appendages 8–15(–20) mm long.

Chromosome numbers: —Romaschenko et al. (2004), Hayta et al. (2014) and Askoy et al. (2016) reported the same chromosome number 2 n = 2 x =18 for Centaurea kurdica .
