Type species: Sinoxizicus breviatus Gorochov & Kang, 2005
Diagnosis: General appearance similar to Pseudokuzicus Gorochov, 1993 . Head hypognathous; fastigium verticis conical. Last two segments of maxillary palpi about equal in length. Metazona of pronotum faintly elongate, lateral lobes without humeral sinus. Tegmina well developed, with stridulatory apparatus, hind wings distinctly shorter than tegmina. Tibial tympanum open on both sides, hind tibiae each bearing 3 apical spurs. Posterior margin of male 10th abdominal tergite with paired processes. Male cerci stout. Subgenital plate with styli; concealed genitalia completely membranous in male. Subgenital plate of female transverse, the apical hook of ovipositor inconspicuous.
