Puparium. Length 7–8 mm (n = 2), length of second abdominal segment 0.7 mm, dark red-brown in ground colour; dorsal transverse striae well developed across the middle of abdominal segments 1–7; locomotory spicules numerous and variable in size and blunt tipped ( Figure 8A View Figure 8 ); spicule band circumventing body segments and continuing to the dorsal surface of segments 1–5 but spicule bands reduced in width on segments 4 and 5 and absent on dorsum of segments 6 and 7; rosette-shaped anterior spiracles with 14 respiratory bulbs ( Figure 3I View Figure 3 ); projections bearing posterior spiracular plates black, about twice as wide at base as at apex and not as high as basally wide; spiracular plates separated by about 1.5 times width of a spiracular plate; spiracular plate ( Figure 5B View Figure 5 ), smooth-rimmed, without indentations or a projection between spiracular slits 1 and 2; posterior spiracular slits long, longer than the diameter of the ecdysial scar; head skeleton ( Figure 11C,F View Figure 11 ), length 1.6 mm; mandible without a pin-hole window or accessory teeth; apical hook wide such that, in lateral view, the hook is almost as wide as the intermediate sclerite; base of mandible irregular in profile shape, with the lower margin inclined, downwards and tapering, not parallel with the lower margin of the basal sclerite such that the lower muscle attachment point is almost in the same plane as the upper attachment point ( Figure 11C View Figure 11 ); intermediate sclerite box-shaped with ventral bridge at the middle ( Figure 11F View Figure 11 ); epipharyngeal plate heavily sclerotized; dorsal cornu about as wide as ventral cornu and heavily sclerotized; vertical plate sclerotized and short, about as long as intermediate sclerite.
