Key to the species of Sargassocarcinus Ward, 1936

1. Wing-like lateral expansion of carapace less pronounced, separated by more or less symmetrical concavity, with anterior and posterior teeth subequal in structure ( Fig. 3 A–C). Pararostral teeth elongated, reaching beyond level of distal ends of preorbital lobes ( Fig. 7A )....................................................................... S. foliatus Ward, 1936
