Male anal segment with lateral finger-like processes. Genital styles narrow, oval, apex rounded; proximal dorsal process large, its tip curved inwards, and rounded in side view; distal dorsal process with a long, nearly rectangular base, close to proximal dorsal process, apical part slender; at the inside near the base a finger-like process bearing bristles at the tip. Apical portion of aedeagus in dorsal view broad, its end truncate; the left margin blade-like; right side shorter.
Etymology. The species is named for T.C. Maa who collected this species and ' maai ' is a latinized noun used in the genitive case.
