Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective (furcatus, -a, -um = forked).
Type material. Holotype ♂, PHILIPPINES, Luzon I., Mountain Prov , Abatan, Bugnias, 60 km S of Bontoc, 1800–2000 m, 1.VI.1964, light trap, H.M. Torresvillas ( BPBM #11,943 About BPBM ).
Additional material examined. PHILIPPINES, Haights Place 6.xi.1912 7000'.
