Diastolinus brevicollis Fairmaire, 1892 , incertae sedis, Stenochiini

Diastolinus brevicollis Fairmaire 1892: 80 ; Gebien 1938: 295 [414]; Blackwelder 1945: 524.

Remarks. In the absence of useful information in the description of D. brevicollis , we consulted a cotype in the MHNB ( Figs. 3–4 View Figs ), and we find that this species, which lacks a divided eye, also does not belong to any of the blapstinoid genera. The type is rather a member of the Stenochiini (P. Bouchard, R. Aalbu, personal communication), but the generic placement is unclear and beyond

the scope of this study. Therefore, Diastolinus brevicollis Fairmaire is placed incertae sedis in the Stenochiini .
