Remarks.—A small (body length about 23 mm, fore wing length about 24.5 mm) dark brown species with dense silver pile on the dorsolateral abdomen. The round eyes, large abdominal sternite I, large, domed, curving opercula, and spine-like upper pygofer lobe quickly distinguish the species.
Distribution.—The species is known only from Madagascar ( Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013).
