Remarks.—The second of five species with ochraceous hind wings marked with piceous-brown or castaneous. It can be distinguished from by the piceous brown is found basally in the hind wings of Y. bouvieri but is restricted to the distal parts of the hind wings in Y. andriana , Y. grandidieri , Y. guttulata , and Yanga mahajangaensis n. sp. Body length is 38–40 mm, wingspan is about 113 mm ( Distant 1905b).
Distribution.—The species is only known from Madagascar ( Metcalf 1963a). Distant (1905b) and Jacobi (1917) reported the species from Baie d’Antongil, Madagascar.
