Distribution: India: Maharashtra (Bassein Fort) and Tamil Nadu (Coimbatore). Elsewhere : Comoros, France, Indonesia, North America, Spain, and South Africa (Ponomarenko 1997).

Hosts: Convolvulus arvensis , Ipomoea sp. , I. aquatica , I. batatas , Merremia quinquefolia ( Convolvulaceae ); Solanum tuberosum ( Solanaceae ) (Robinson et al. 2023).
