Genus Montina Amyot & Serville, 1843 View in CoL
The genus Montina Amyot & Serville, 1843 currently includes ten species ( Maldonado 1990). Stål (1872) separated Montina lobata Stål, 1859 and M. sinuosa ( Lepeletier & Serville, 1825) from other species of Montina based on the connexival margins from third to fifth (actually, segments IV–VI) abdominal segments which are distinctly enlarged as rounded lobes ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 32–37 ) (versus with at most prominent posterolateral corners in the other species of the genus). In relation to Ecuador, besides some records of unidentified species of Montina , the only species recorded at this country was Montina fumosa (Stål, 1866) ( Froeschner 1981) . Therefore, the two species cited here are new records to Ecuador.
