Comments: — P. hamatum has been reported from Idaho, USA, in both Chironomidae and Ephemerptera hosts ( Bench & White 2012). It was also reported from Italy in the mayfly Baetis alpinus (Valle et al. 2014) . Our specimens were found attached to the hindgut lining of Baetidae and Leptohpyphidae. Thalli measuring 65–1163 μm long, with a horseshoe shaped holdfast measuring 2.1–10.5 μm diam. Thallus widened at the basal area 13.5–16 μm diameter. Ellipsoidal cystospores measuring 32 × 6 μm. This is the first record of a Paramoebidium species within Leptohyphidae (Panamerican family of myflies). In fact, only one harpellid species, Allantomyces zopilotei , from Mexico, was previously reported associated with the genera Trichorythodes and Leptohyphes (Valle et al. 2008) , Both Camelobaetidius (reported above associated with P. santanderensis ) and Mayobaetis ( Baetidae ) are new hosts for Amoedidiales.

Comments: — Smittium culicis is a cosmopolitan species and has been reported from nearly all continents where Dipteran host have been dissected for trichomycete research, counting France ( Manier 1970; Tuzet & Manier 1947), Spain ( Valle & Santamaria 2004), Italy ( Valle et al. 2013), Tunisia ( Manier et al. 1964), Canada, New Zealand and USA ( Lichtwardt 1986), Chile ( Lichtwardt & Arenas 1996), Argentina ( Lichtwardt et al. 1999) and now Colombia. Our specimens have a branched thallus with a holdfast measuring 5.3–12 μm diameter and trichospore measuring (16–)18–22 × 3.6–7.3 μm, with a collar of 6.2–13 μm long. Zygospores not found.
