( Figs. 3, 14, 25, 36, 52–56)

Diagnosis. Face with a large blackish brown median spot. Antenna blackish brown except 1st flagellomere brownish. Wing with a narrow brown stripe on dm-cu. Abdominal tergites 2–6 each with a blackish brown median spot, confluent with blackish brown posterior bands on tergites 3–5.

Description. MALE. Body length 4.4 mm, wing length 4.8 mm. FEMALE. Body length 4.4–4.8mm, wing length 4.7–4.8 mm.

Head ( Fig. 3) pale yellow. Face with a large blackish brown median spot. Frons about as long as wide and parallel–sided, with two narrow blackish gray stripes along or rows and a narrow brown triangular median stripe extending to ocellar triangle; ocellar triangle grayish black; oc and anterior or broken. Gena about 1/6 height of eye. Occiput with a wide grayish black stripe confluent with ocellar triangle. Antenna blackish brown except 1st flagellomere brownish, 1st flagellomere 1.6 times longer than high; arista long plumose, blackish brown except brownish basally, with longest hairs longer than height of 1st flagellomere. Proboscis yellowish brown, with yellowish and blackish hairs; palpus pale yellow with blackish hairs.

Thorax ( Fig. 14) blackish brown with grayish white pruinescence. Mesoscutum with 5 brownish yellow longitudinal stripes. 0+3 dc (anterior dc clearly behind transverse scutal suture), acr in 6 somewhat irregular rows. Anepisternum blackish brown except yellow dorsal margin, and with 1 yellow median stripe, pteropleuron blackish brown, katepisternum yellow. Scutellum brownish black except yellow apical margin, with yellowish gray pruinescence. Legs pale yellow, but all tarsi dark yellow except tarsomere 5 brown on apical half; hind tibia with an incomplete brown basal ring. Fore femur with 4 strong pv and 5 pd, ctenidium with 9 short bristles; fore tibia with 1 long preapical ad and 2 short apv. Mid femur with 5 a and 1 apv; mid tibia with 1 strong preapical ad and 3 strong apv. Hind femur with 1 preapical ad; hind tibia with 1 weak preapical ad and 1 short apv. Wing ( Fig. 25) slightly yellow, with a narrow brown stripe on dm-cu; subcostal cell hyaline; costa with 2nd (between R 1 and R 2+3), 3rd (between R 2+3 and R 4+5) and 4th (between R 4+5 and M 1) sections in proportion of 2.3: 0.8: 0.4; r-m before middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 1.7: 1.2; ultimate section of CuA 1 about 1/6 of penultimate. Halter yellow.

Abdomen ( Fig. 36) yellow with sparse silvery white pruinescence; tergites 2–6 each with a blackish brown median spot, confluent with blackish brown posterior bands on tergites 3–5. Male genitalia ( Figs. 52–56): protandrium circular; epandrium nearly triangular and with a subapical concavity on anterior ventral margin in lateral view; surstylus incurved claviform; hypandrium with a pair of ventral processes, hypandrial apodeme long; gonopod coniform; aedeagal incision distinct, with a pair of dorsal sclerites and a pair of preapical lateral processes.

Type material Holotype ♂ ( CAU), CHINA, Yunnan Province: Kunming, Xishan, Erdaogou , 15. IV. 2007, Hui Dong . Paratypes: CHINA, Yunnan Province: 1 ♀ ( CAU), Kunming, Xishan, Erdaogou, 15. IV. 2007, Hui Dong ; 1 ♀ ( CAU), Kunming, Xishan, Erdaogou, 15. IV. 2007, Wenliang Li .

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Remarks. The new species is somewhat similar to Homoneura (Homoneura) convergens Shi & Yang from China (Hainan) in the following characters: face with spots; acr in 6 somewhat irregular rows; mesoscutum with brownish yellow longitudinal stripes; wing with a narrow brown stripe on dm-cu; abdominal tergites 2–6 each with a blackish brown median spot and/or a pair of posterior bands; epandrium with a subapical concavity on anterior ventral margin in lateral view; gonopod coniform. But it can be separated from the latter by the following features: mesoscutum with 5 brownish yellow longitudinal stripes; abdominal tergites 2–6 each with a blackish brown median spot, confluent with blackish brown posterior bands on tergites 3–5?protandrium without ventral processes; surstylus consisting of 1 process. In H. (H.) convergens , the mesoscutum has 4 brownish yellow longitudinal stripes; the abdominal tergite 2 has a black median spot and tergites 3–4 have a black posterior band, tergite 5 has a black triangular median spot and tergite 6 has a black elliptical spot; protandrium has no ventral process; surstylus is consisting of 2 processes (Shi & Yang 2009).

Etymology. Latin, conica , meaning coniform, referring to the gonopod being coniform.
