Genus Williamstimpsonia Števčić, 2011 View in CoL View at ENA
Olivioxantho Števčić, 2005: 134 View in CoL [unavailable name. See Ng et al. 2008]
[Type species: Xantho denticulatus White, 1848 ].
Type species. Xantho stimpsoni A. Milne-Edwards, 1879 View in CoL [Type locality: Cape Saint Lucas ] .
Remarks. Števčić (2011) established Williamstimpsonia as a monotypic genus for Xantho stimpsoni and explicitly stated that the grammatical gender of the genus is feminine ( ICZN, 1999: 36, Art. 30.2.2). Subsequently, Xantho denticulatus White, 1848 , was transferred to Williamstimpsonia as W. denticulatus (see Thoma et al. 2014: 89, tab. 1). However, the Latin adjective denticulatus (one provided with small teeth) must agree in gender with the generic name, therefore W. denticulata (see ICZN, 1999: 38, Art. 31.2).
