Description. Male genitalia: Pygophore elongate, tapered to narrowly rounded apex. Subgenital plate elongate. Connective stem similar in length to arms. Aedeagal shaft with a slight elongate flange on each side of dorsal surface; apical process with length approximately 3/4 length of shaft.
Diagnosis. This species is similar to M. curticeps but the aedeagal process is shorter. Remarks. From a comparison of the types of alboguttulatus , albomaculatus , apicalis and lefroyi with the original descriptions and illustrations of kawamura, and examining further material, it is clear that all are synonyms.
Distribution. China (Sichuan, Fujian, Guangxi, Yunnan), Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Africa ( Fig.16 View FIGURE 16 ).
