Number of specimens recorded. 13.
Distribution. Europe; also North Africa. Portugal: three northern provinces.
Ecology. Recorded from three macrohabitat categories in Portugal, in particular riverbanks and forests; in the latter habitat type, the species was always collected close to open water ( i.e., waterfalls, seeps). Like the previous species, in northwestern Europe S. zelleri is mainly distributed at higher altitudes where is mostly found nearby streams in open biotopes.
Rarity (%). 6.9 (fairly rare).
Activity period. March, June–July, September.
