Number of specimens recorded. 13.
Distribution. Europe; also North Africa. Portugal: three northern provinces.
Ecology. Recorded from three macrohabitat categories in Portugal, in particular riverbanks and forests; in the latter habitat type, the species was always collected close to open water (i.e., waterfalls, seeps). Like the previous species, in northwestern Europe S. zelleri is mainly distributed at higher altitudes where is mostly found nearby streams in open biotopes.
Rarity (%). 6.9 (fairly rare).
Activity period. March, June–July, September.
