Number of specimens recorded. 2.

Distribution. Europe, but not recorded from the south and southwest. Portugal: one province (Douro Litoral).

Ecology. The single Portuguese sampling site of this species can be described as a mountainous location crossed by a small river with Salix sp. , Fraxinus sp. , Acacia sp. and Alnus glutinosa on its banks. Eucalyptus sp. , Ulex sp. , Pterospartum tridentatum , Calluna vulgaris and other species of heather were common up the mountain slope. In northwestern Europe, this species is readily found in spring and early autumn on all kinds of smooth-barked trees, in particular poplars.
