Number of specimens recorded. 12.

Distribution. Southern Europe ( Italy, Sicily, Spain, Azores); also North Africa. Portugal: one province (Minho) (see Brooks & Cumming 2017).

Ecology. This species seems confined to the littoral zone, in the transition zone between salt marshes and dunes. It has been collected in primary dunes by sweeping Ammophila arenaria and the soil surface where it seems to occur on the sandy soil near the tussocks bases. Information on its habitat preference in the rest of Europe is lacking.

Rarity (%). 1.1 (very rare).

Activity period. May–July.
