Number of specimens recorded. 4.
Distribution. Europe, excl. northern Europe. Portugal: two northern provinces.
Ecology. The two sites of this species in Portugal can be described as (i) a riparian corridor with Populus sp. and Salix sp. amid meadows, and (ii) a mountainous location crossed by a small river with Salix sp. , Fraxinus sp. , Acacia sp. and Alnus glutinosa on its banks. Eucalyptus sp. , Ulex sp. , Pterospartum tridentatum , Calluna vulgaris and other species of heather were common up the mountain slope. In northwestern Europe, this species has a distinct preference for open humid oligotrophic biotopes; e.g., heathlands ( Pollet 2000).
