Number of specimens recorded. 199.
Distribution. Europe. Portugal: six mainly northern provinces in this study, and Algarve (Dyte unpubl. data).
Ecology. Collected in a wide range of habitat types in Portugal from sea level to 1,600 m, with a preference for open humid habitats, especially grasslands and heathlands. Distinctly more common in mountainous habitats than C. curvipes . In northwestern Europe mainly found in wet oligotrophic biotopes, including heathland and coniferous forests.
Rarity (%). 29.9 (common). Fairly common (FL).
Activity period. Collected all year round (January–December).
