Material. 2 ♂♂ ( ZISP No. 61), Dagestan, [Tlyaratinsky District], Kvalishor River [ca. N42°3'47.91", E46°18'37.77"], left side, alpine zone, 06. VI.[19]80, coll. unknown .

Distribution. S. transsilvanica is an east-southern European species ( Iorio 2005; Reip & Voigtländer 2009). Other records (as S. cf. transsilvanica ): Russia, Rostov-on-Don Region ( Zuev & Evsyukov 2016), Altai Territory ( Nefediev et al. 2018), and Sakhalin Isl., as well as from Japan and Taiwan ( Bonato et al. 2012), and Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan region ( Dyachkov 2018).

Remarks. Specimens have 43 LBS, 6–8 coxopleural pores, and pleuropretergite of ultimate LBS entire.

This species, genus Strigamia , and family Linotaeniidae are new to the fauna of the Dagestan.
