Proarna uruguayensis Berg, 1882: 43 View in CoL (Montevideo, Uruguay).
REMARKS. The species is associated with grass and was collected in large numbers in the same habitat as Proarna gianucai Sanborn, 2008b .
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously from Uruguay and Argentina ( Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn & Heath 2014).

Gianuca coll. / Assoc. with Androtrichum trigynum / Nocturnal sampling ” one male ( AFSC); “ Brazil / Cassino Beach / 14 February 1993 / N.M. Gianuca coll. / Ex. Panicum racemosum ” four males ( AFSC); “ Brazil / 15 km South of Cassino Beach / 30 January 1991 / N.M. Gianuca coll. / Ex. Panicum racemosum ” two males ( AFSC); “ Brazil / 17 km South of Cassino Beach / 25 January 1995 / collected on the vegetation (beach / grass) of the coastal dunes / N.M. Gianuca col.” three males and 13 females ( AFSC); “ Brazil / 3 km North of Cassino Beach / 20 January 1995 / collected on the vegetation (beach / grass) of the coastal dunes / N.M. Gianuca col.” one male and five females ( AFSC).
